The first thing a person notices about Boontiva C. Truong-Quang is the peacefulness that surrounds her. From her gentle manner to her sincerity as she listens to anyone and everyone.

What she has made of her life is truly, but not unattainably, rare. Changing her life from that of Corporate Executive to certified Yoga Instructor from the International Yoga Institute in Mumbai, India, she is on the path to a complete wholeness that we all seek. “We will always be improving ourselves. There is no real cap on the amount that one can learn through Yoga.” says Boontiva. Her students and others that know her agree.

“It deepens my spirituality but has nothing to do with religion.” said Ann, a student of Boontiva’s for the past year. “I started 4 years ago because of breathing problems. There was nothing that could be done for me medically. Financially it was the only treatment that I could afford. I would like to become an instructor so that I myself could help people.”

“We knew Yoga as children, but really did not get serious about it until adulthood.” said Nalini, an instructor of 10 years herself who works with Boontiva. “It relates to every individual, and the knowledge is never ending.

It does require commitment. Those that are serious will find a way. It’s not difficult and becomes a way of life.”

It was another persons peaceful demeanor that first hooked Boontiva. On a trip to India with her brother, they stopped at a friends house whose mother Boontiva was greatly impressed with. “I asked her how she found such peace in herself and she said Yoga. When I first arrived at the Institute in Mumbai, I knew instantly that this was for me, for life.”
